Shop Small and Earn Big on Main Street

Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 30, a day to support Half Moon Bay's merchants.

Between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses nationwide. Last year, over 100 million people came together to shop small in their communities on Small Business Saturday, according to a 2012 Small Business Saturday Consumer Survey by Echo Research.

For the past three years, Half Moon Bay's Main Street merchants have been participating in the day that American Express designated in 2010 as Small Business Saturday.

Small Business Saturday is a designated day to get out there and support Half Moon Bay’s merchants by shopping local. There are many well-documented benefits to the community by choosing local, independently owned businesses like investing in your community, reducing environmental impact, keeping our community unique, putting your taxes to good use, and encouraging local prosperity.
