Help the San Carlos Trails Committee with the installation of two new trails within Big Canyon & Eaton Parks. [Big Canyon Park's trail is already done.] Each park is designated to have an additional .4 of mile of trail added to the existing trails. All the digging is being done by a few volunteers. But we need a few more to carry in some materials for steps and bridges on just a couple of designated days. Most items are quite manageable for one to carry. But some of the longer pieces can just as easily be carried by teaming up with another. We only ask for 1 1/2 hours of your time.
A great chance to get outside, a little exercise, help your community to see new vistas, and to say one day soon “I helped do that!”
Your chance to help will be on Sunday, June 24 9:30AM, for Eaton Park. Meet at the intersection of Tramanto and Brittan Ave [It’s the stop sign between Alameda and Crestview.] There’s about a 1/4 mile walk in to where the materials need to go. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Leather gloves [as low as $1.99 at Home Depot] are suggested, along with good walking shoes. Do not wear your pretty white clothes.
All you need to do is show up and be willing to walk.
