Call for Docents at San Mateo History Museum

Volunteer training will be held on Oct. 15 and 16 in Redwood City.

Storytellers and history buffs -- if you have been looking to bring Peninsula history to life, then the San Mateo County Historical Association is looking for your help.

The association is searching for docents to assist or lead programs and activities for residents, visitors and students at the county's history museum in Redwood City, the store in Woodside and the Sanchez Adobe in Pacifica.

Depending on the program, a docent typically volunteers for one three- to four-hour shift monthly.
