But who are some of the faces behind the scenes that keep everything running smoothly?
A dynamic duo many festivalgoers will never meet are Captain Trash and his First Mate — a.k.a. Joe Guistino and Ed Love, respectively — who spend the weekend zooming around on their John Deere 4x2 Gator Utility Vehicle hauling trash from the IDES Hall Food Court grounds.
, they estimated hauling 20 bags an hour throughout the weekend.
This year?
"The same," they told Half Moon Bay Patch after we spotted them on a quiet back street downtown.
And with that, the duo silently sped away to complete the rest of their mission for the day.
