Wednesday, Sept. 25

Wild Wednesdays!

Join Wild Child's Artist in Residence, Tyler, to get messy, crazy, artsy and creative with art projects at Wild Child in Half Moon Bay. This workshop is ideal for school age children, projects are done at individual pace and skill Families can come at any point during the workshop hours and are not expected to stay the entire time frame.

Explore the ranch on days just for preschoolers. Parents/teachers and children can take a self guided tour of the ranch and brush goats, explore the gardens, visit the chickens, meet the sheep, dig for worms, and make a wooly craft to take home. Visitors are welcome to bring lunch to enjoy in the picnic area.

Coastside Film Society Screens ‘A Band’s Visit’

What happens when an Egyptian police band heads for a concert in Israel and finds itself in the wrong town? Join the Coastside Film Society for the feature film 'A Band’s Visit' at the Half Moon Bay Library. Rated PG-13 for some coarse language in English.

Saturday, Sept. 28

Tricycle Music Festival and Arts and Crafts Fair

Come listen to the music featuring Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band!  This California based band has won numerous awards for their family pleasing music. Also at the Library, meet Coastside artists who will be selling work, from knitting, hand made soaps and lotions, prints, jewelry and much more. 

Sunday, Sept. 29

Half Moon Bay International Marathon 

The events are full and registration is closed but volunteers are still needed (click here if interested) and the public is invited to watch the Half Moon Bay International Marathon with Bart Yasso — Chief Running Officer of Runner’s World, author of My Life on the Run and creator of the famed “Yasso 800s” workout — as the special guest athlete for the 3rd annual event. Yasso will speak on Saturday at the race packet pick up and on Sunday will be at the finish line to greet the runners and will present medals and awards at the Awards Ceremony. Also, the 2012 men’s and women’s champions will be returning this year to defend their title. HMBIM Partner GoPro will once again provide a $500 cash prize to both the men’s and women’s champions for the 2013 full marathon event.
