Free Housing Legal Clinic in Half Moon Bay

Are you a tenant with questions about your housing rights? Is your landlord refusing to make repairs to your property? Are you trying to get a security deposit back or are you being evicted? OneJustice, Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, may be able to assist you and let you know about your legal rights as a tenant. Our Lady of the Pillar Church, 400 Church St., Half Moon Bay.

Thursday, Sept. 5

Brews & Views Dinner and a Movie

It's movie night in Half Moon Bay at the Mavericks Event Center on 107 Broadway in Princeton by the Sea. What's screening? "The First Generation," the story of four California students who are the first in their families to attend college and the challenges they face. Hosted by the Half Moon Bay Brewing Co., a buffet dinner is available for purchase. Chef Gaston Alfaro will create a Gourmet Salad Bar for you to enjoy, Mavericks Beers & Ales and Wine will also be available for purchase.

Friday, Sept. 6

Half Moon Bay High School Football: Orange and Black Bowl 

Cheer on the Cougars varsity football team at this preseason game against the Hillsdale High Knights. The Orange and Black Bowl is the home opener for the Cougars 2013 season. Wear your orange and black and support the team. Games and prizes will be announced. Game starts at 7 p.m. at Half Moon Bay High, Lewis Foster Drive, Half Moon Bay.

Saturday, Sept. 7

"Throw us a Bone" HMB Dog Park Fundraiser 

Congresswoman Jackie Speier will attend this fundraising event to raise $35,000 to replace an extremely dilapidated fence. Funds raised will also go toward the expansion of the community dog park. Free photo session with your dog by Trudy Gardner Photography.

Sunday, Sept. 8

Coastside Land Trust Gallery's Fall Festival Show

Twenty-four local artists have embraced the Fall Season on the coastside, showcasing 39 original pieces in Coastside Land Trust Gallery's Fall Festival Show. The Opening and Artists' Reception is from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. The show will then run from through Oct. 25. All art is for sale and mediums include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, photography and clay.
