Tuesday

Tips for Gluten-Free Holiday Baking

Come join cooking instructor and author Amy Fothergill and learn about how to make delicious baked goods that are perfect for the Holiday Season.
Signed cookbooks — "The Warm Kitchen: Gluten-Free Recipes Anyone Can Make and Everyone Will Love"— will be available for purchase. At the Half Moon Bay Library, 620 Correas Street, Half Moon Bay.

Wednesday

Lobster Clambake Night at Sam's Chowder House

Enjoy an authentic New England Style Lobster Clambake, served at Sam's Chowder House! The three-course feast begins with piping hot cups of Sam's renowned New England style Clam Chowder, followed by a seafood banquet to be remembered by all. The feast is steamed outside in the ocean air using a large wooden steamer box that is placed on a bed of hot coals and carefully loaded with fresh whole Maine lobster, clams, mussels, red potatoes, fresh corn-on-the-cob and savory Andouille sausage, and layered with special Maine lobster seaweed. $85 per person. RSVP required.

Thursday

Planning & Permitting Workshop for the City of Half Moon Bay

Developing or building in Half Moon Bay? Looking for the right permits? Don't know where to start? Staff from the City of Half Moon Bay Planning, Building and Engineering Departments, the Coastside County Water District and the Coastside Fire Protection District will be presenting tips to aid in navigating the development and permitting process in Half Moon Bay. From 2 to 4 p.m. at the Department Operations Center, 537 Kelly Ave., Half Moon Bay.

Brews and Views at Half Moon Bay Brewing Company With Superivisor Don Horsley

Join organizers for a cold brew and a fresh view on local issues. Lenny Mendonca, a director at McKinsey & Company, will be joined by Don Horsley and Kendall Flint for a discussion about Plan Princeton, focusing on enhancing coastal access, recreation, and educational opportunities to protecting sensitive habitats and restoring water quality. Complimentary snacks will be served and fresh seafood and craft beers will be available for purchase.

Friday

Night of Lights Parade on Main Street

Stroll along Half Moon Bay’s charming Main Street for some old-fashioned holiday spirit filled with carols, roasted chestnuts and eggnog. A special tree lighting ceremony in Mac Dutra Park will kick off the festivities at 6 p.m., followed by hundreds of children adorned in twinkling lights marching down Main Street in the Parade of Lights at 7 p.m. Main Street. 

Funky Holiday Apparel Party 

It's the 2nd annual ugly holiday sweater party at Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. Prizes for everyone who shows up, with a grand prize winner with The Funkiest Attire. Party in the bar with a local favorite, the band Califuegos will be in the house. From 5pm-7pm  there's a free tasting of their Frosty Wave Winter Ale-a delicious winter warmer with rich caramel and dark fruit flavors.

Saturday

33rd Annual Winter Festival at Farallone View Elementary School

Join the fun at the 33rd Annual Winter Festival.  Gifts and crafts from local artisans, Cake Walk, Santa pics from 11AM-1PM, Gingerbread houses, raffles, and lots of other fun stuff.  

Sunday

Stuff the Bus With Toys at Cunha's

In collaboration with San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, San Carlos Fire Bianchini's Market & Kiwanis Club: Bring a toy and get a picture with Santa for free. Pictures will be available for download at sherriffsactivitiesleague.com. $5 donation without a toy. In Half Moon Bay at Cunha Market from 9 to 11 a.m. Special thanks to San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, Sheriff Greg Munks, Undersheriff Carlos Bolanos, Chief JR Gamez, Redwood City,  Fire Chief Jim Skinner Redwood City & San Carlos, Fire Chief Dan Ghiorso Woodside.

10th Annual Gingerbread House Contest and Tree Lighting at the Ritz

Drop by the tree lighting ceremony for Santa Claus, hot chocolate, and gingerbread house displays. Don't forget to bid on a house (all proceeds go to Coastside Children's Program). Or go online to bid. The online auction will also include fun holiday gifts.

Local FATT's FOOD SHOP Fair

Come celebrate the wonderful holiday flavors on the coast at the Local FATT Kitchen FOOD-SHOP Fair. Live cooking demo's, speciality food products and bites from the chef's table. Kevin Koebel and crew will demostrate how to whip up amazing holiday delights.  In additon, Local FATT will be hosting Cameron Marks, Santa Cruz, SLOWCOAST Made, Davenport and local artisans offering unique one of a kind gifts to purchase. Entrance fee $10.
