Carter Park is a hidden oasis tucked away behind the Stone Pine Shopping Center. Consisting of an open expanse of grass and a circular "bench" of stones graced by a semicircular stand of tall trees, some may describe it as stripped down and minimal. But its simplicity and quiet creates a meditative atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street.

The park is home to the "Pumpkin Mover," a sculpture of a farmworker holding a pumpkin by Coastside artist Arabella Decker. Originally, the sculpture was to be installed in Fernandez Park downtown, but after some residents complained, the City Council voted to install it in Carter Park instead.

Visitors can park in the Stone Pine Shopping Center's lot and enter the park through a ramp or wooden staircase.
