The Douglas Beach House is a historic jazz and classical music venue hidden away on Miramar beach. Started by Pete Douglas in the late 1950s, this accidental jam session/beat hangout has slowly evolved into one of the premier places that you've never heard of to hear world class music.<br><br>Having presented the likes of Etta James and Duke Ellington, Pete Douglas knows his stuff. "I was, and still am, on a musical adventure..." he says of his life and business.<br><br>The Douglas Beach House is located a few miles north of central Half Moon Bay. Through the nonprofit organization The Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society, the club hosts musical events on Sunday afternoons. The Douglas Beach House is also available for private events and weddings.
