Half Moon Bay Police Department
<p>Interim Police Chief Lee Violett leads the Half Moon Bay Police Department, which is currently staffed with 12 police officers.</p> <p>In addition to its core services of crime reduction, public safety, and personal disaster preparedness, the Police Department sponsors programs designed to involve the community, such as a Law Enforcement Explorer Program, Police Reserves and a Police Athletic League. It is also involved in the Coastside Emergency Action Program, an initiative focused on disaster preparedness.</p> <p>The department's 2009 Annual Report can be downloaded on their website.</p>
