Mariner's Community Church
<p>Since 1982, Mariner's Community Church has provided a space for people of all backgrounds to come together. Most consider it a community church, though it is technically Baptist in denomination. About 500 people attend services each week.</p> <p>Located in the Shoreline Center, the church has a vibrant surf-themed youth center (complete with a glittering disco ball, sound system and walls mounted with flip-flops and surfboards) and a teen recreation space adjacent to the upstairs office in addition to the main service hall. </p> <p>Services are nontraditional and feature a live rock band. Video screens flank both sides of the stage.</p>
