Sam's Chowder House is an award-winning seafood restaurant along a scenic stretch of Highway One in Half Moon Bay. Literally right above the beach, the Chowder House offers waterfront dining and serves authentic seafood, New England-style, with entrees such as Grilled Australian swordfish and Alaskan king salmon. The outdoor seating is a full beachfront terrace with a bar, heated areas for eating and a long line of beach chairs with dog-friendly fire pits nearby.<br><br>Sam's Chowder House is also committed to operating an eco-friendly existence, powered by rooftop solar electricity and only buying seafood caught with environmentally just methods. Sam's Chowder House, which opened in 2006, also hosts private events. Reservations are recommended.
