State of California - CalTrans Maintenance Stations

<p>The CalTrans Maintenance Station in Half Moon Bay has been open since 1950. It is responsible for maintaining roads within its area of jurisdiction, which includes the stretch of Highway 1 along coastside San Mateo County and Highway 92 from the coast to where it intersects with Highway 280.</p> <p>Road maintenance consists of paving, clearing the roads of objects such as dead animals, trees, or rocks; and clearing the roads at the scene of an accident or if a vehicle is stalled.</p> <p>In addition to administrative offices, the maintenance station has space for repairs and a small gas station that offers diesel and unleaded fuel.</p>
