It's a great article and it's so nice to read about a high school arts program still up and running…Read More and thriving! Arts once flourished in California public schools ... before more than $20 billion dollars were cut out of our California schools. Now many schools don’t require the arts as part of a quality education. How wonderful for the students that representatives from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco attended as well!

The Coastside Film Society is actually screening an academy award winning movie on the coast side…Read More this Friday. The film is "Sunrise" a silent film which won best picture and best actress in 1928.
The screening will include a live grand piano accompaniment.

I know what goes into the process of compiling these books, after completeing the Arcadia book on…Read More Moss Beach that June Morrall was writing. I had to go out & re-interview many of the subjects, in addition to our taking all of the current photographs for the book, and then wrote the eplilogue. Not as easy as it sounds!
