It's a great article and it's so nice to read about a high school arts program still up and runningRead More and thriving! Arts once flourished in California public schools ... before more than $20 billion dollars were cut out of our California schools. Now many schools don’t require the arts as part of a quality education. How wonderful for the students that representatives from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco attended as well!

Yes, I agree Rich! Of course the film was magnificent but the score by Pickett-Gordon and herRead More ability to play along to the film so intuitively was outstanding and stole the show. She is a true talent and it's so wonderful we can say she calls the Coast home!

I disagree that students should fight the intruder at their school. They should leave it to theRead More teachers. Though I do respect that they help the student at their school.

All I can say is that I have a lot of respect for people who and do hand painted <aRead More href="http://www.asharpsigns.com/wp/signs/">signs</a>. Painting is so technical and it is a talent I would love to develop. Great work guys!

@Robin:thanks for the feedback. Highly reccomend both beasts and master. Neither are short on actingRead More or story. Ask yourself what's more important to you acting or story. If the answer is acting go with the master if it's story go with beasts. I'l do a review on best movie this weekend. Thanks for your comment!
Robin February 6, 2013 at 09:41 pm
I keep hearing about Beasts but haven't seen that or The Master yet. Lincoln was wonderful, and IRead More loved Argo. So glad there are actually movies with plots instead of just explosions!

Dancing is such a great way to get exercise and have fun at the same time. I never would haveRead More thought to observe a class first, but it makes perfect sense. And, so many people are intimidated by the idea of dancing that they miss this opportunity for fun.

I know what goes into the process of compiling these books, after completeing the Arcadia book onRead More Moss Beach that June Morrall was writing. I had to go out & re-interview many of the subjects, in addition to our taking all of the current photographs for the book, and then wrote the eplilogue. Not as easy as it sounds!
