Thank you for posting this very important article. Unfortunately much of the information here needsRead More to be enhanced. One disease is a prevalent illness here on our coast and in our County. Both my daughter and I have late stage Lyme's disease. We know many people in our community suffering from illnesses that they have contracted from text in our community. Unfortunately outdated and inaccurate guidelines set by the Center of Disease Control and the American Medical Association, lead the general public to believe that this illness is not prevalent and rampant among us. People's symptoms go undetected and untreated. Many symptoms initially present as flulike symptoms. Fevers, chills, fatigue, lethargy, etc. After onset initially, symptoms present like learning challenges, memory issues, mental imbalances, personality changes, joint pain, back pain, profound fatigue, brain function interference, ADD, dyslexia, impulsivity, raging behavior, facial ticks, austic spectrum behavior to mention a few. Many illnesses are labeled with commonly accepted and recognize labels, when actually it is the undetected presence of Lyme's disease that is actually the underlying key factor for their symptom picture. Lou Gehrig's disease, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's, ADD and ADHD, autism, learning challenges, ALS,

to mention a few, are some such diseases. Many of us who work in the field of tick borne illness ,Read More and deal with patients suffering from these tick induced illnesses, Listen to story after story, of people having been misdiagnosed by mainstream medical establishment over many years, when Lyme's Disease was finally determined to be the underlying contributing undetected presence that had caused their healthy demise. In fact was the case for me, my daughter and mother, who all have experienced chronically compromised health throughout our entire lives from inset extend tickborne illness. I encourage everyone to educate them themselves about this modern, undeclared epidemic among us. Almost everyone I have spoken with lately, has had a relative or known of someone who has suffered from Lyme's disease. It is at epidemic proportions in our country according to the mainstream MDs I work with who treat thousands and thousands of people with Tick borne illness on both coasts. It is here among us on the San Mateo coastline, and very prevalent in Half Moon Bay. know many people who have contracted illness while living here. Do not be fooled into complacency about this essential health concern. Please be forewarned and take care of your children, pets, horses and yourself. become educated and tickborne illness and take preventative measures. Your very life may depend upon it.
