Supporting the arts and artists since 1979, The Coastal Arts League (CAL) is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation located onMore the San Mateo coast of Northern California. CAL's objective is to develop and support creative artistic talent in the Coastside Community. The Coastal Arts League maintains a free Museum and a Museum Store to showcase the talent of Coastside artists and art groups. Monthly exhibitions in the Museum may be the work of individual artists, or other regional art organizations. The Coastal Arts League is operated by volunteers committed to the arts. Among CAL's projects is amuseum which provides a venue for artwork shown by artists from around the world. CAL 's exhibits offer a diverse range of 2-D & 3-D art in its annual shows, or in new & featured exhibits each year. Members of the Coastal Arts League are entitled to have 1-3 pieces of artwork exhibited each year in the CAL Members' Show, as well as discounts on merchandise sold in CAL's Gallery Store, Merchant Discounts, and other membership benefits. This museum space is primarily supported by the work of dedicated volunteers and donations to CAL. All support is greatly appreciated. Kuk Sool Won Martial Arts Center

Kuk Sool Won, with three full-time and 10 part-time instructors, offers comprehensive martial arts for children andMore families. Students learn five styles of martial art - taekwondo, kendo, jui jitsu, kung fu and acrobatics - and in the process come to understand what works best for them. Most students attend two classes per week and there are car pools set up to help students get to classes after school. In addition, Kuk Sool Won is a home school vendor and is supportive of the home school program on the coast. As students develop their martial art skills they work towards various ranking levels and usually attain a black belt ranking within about three years. An especially fun option are the birthday parties that can be scheduled. The birthday child and guests all receive a martial arts lesson, enjoy structured play, feast on pizza and birthday cake and the birthday child receives a free uniform as a souvenir of the occasion.
