Workers for the Terma Foundation (who are Tibetan) promote the mixing a root called Dhroma into food to compensate for the poor quality of available food.</p> <p>The health program consists of improving access to treatment by a medical doctor. Each sanatarium has a medical doctor working on-site.</p>

It is run out of a residential home that offers transitional housing for one family at a time.</p> <p>Catholic Worker gives away produce donated by Portero Nuevo Farm and New Leaf Market on Tuesday mornings. Rice and beans are also available to take home. Diapers are sometimes available as well. Families are allowed one bag each.</p> <p>The organization also co-sponsors a community breakfast on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Coastside Lutheran Evangelical Church. Anyone is welcome to attend the breakfast. Kelly Avenue Catholic Worker also maintains a community garden at Coastside Lutheran.</p> <p>Because there are only two people on staff, the organization welcomes individual volunteers and donations to help support their programs. It is the goal of the market organizers to champion small farms along the coast and local fishermen from Half Moon Bay harbor.</p> <p>Although the focus is on the fresh produce, there is also a nice selection of prepared foods and bakery items, perfect for a light lunch while shopping and listening to the local musicians perform.</p>
