Birgit Starmanns, Neighbor

Birgit Starmanns is a Senior Director in SAP's Solution Marketing organization, focused on finance and enterprise performance management solutions. She has over 23 years of experience in the software industry, in a career that has spanned product marketing, product management, and consulting.

Birgit has been a member of Toastmasters International since 2006, where she has achieved the DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster) designation, and promoted the program as the District 4 Public Relations Officer for 2.5 years, covering the geographic area from San Francisco to Monterey. She currently produces the “Toastmasters Bay to Bay” cable access television show at the Midpeninsula Community Media Center.

Birgit also continues to pursue her passion of dance. She started with tap and jazz at the age of 7, and performed in college and community theater, as well as five years at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA. After discovering ballroom dance over two years ago, she now dances in 15 styles in the categories of American Smooth, American Rhythm and Nightclub, in both ballroom studio showcases and Pro/Am competitions.
