I have been a resident of Saratoga since 1998. I am a high tech public relations professional who is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and I hold a degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Ohio University. I'm the Social Media Chair and Parliamentarian for the Sixth District PTA which represents all Santa Clara County PTAs. I used to be the president of a large PTA unit at an elementary school in Saratoga. I am a five time recipient of the President's Volunteer in Service to America Award which included receiving letters from two U.S. presidents. I received the award for coaching soccer and baseball as well as PTA activities. My son is 11 and is in 6th grade at a middle school in Los Gatos. He's a patrol leader with Boy Scout Troop 566 in Saratoga, maintains a 4.0 GPA and takes advanced math at the Russian School of Mathematics.
I advocate for stronger math programs in our schools so that the U.S. can be more competitive.
